I recently had dealing with high cpu usage on a WordPress site installed on a virtual private server with 2 vCore, 80GB SSD, 4GB of memory, Ubuntu 18.04, Apache 2.4.29, and mysql community version 8.0.20.
After a lot of troubleshooting steps, including logging slow queries and tuning the my.cnf file, and disabling theme and plugins, nothing worked and a mysqld process was always spiking the cpu up and down, so I decided to transfered the site to another server with the exact configuration, and mysql now is behaving good.
So, my question is if I after the troubleshooting, can I discard that the problem is related to a plugin or theme?
